What is Helping Paws?

Helping Paws is a fundraising effort for specific Corgis and their families who are having a difficult time paying for veterinary bills. CorgiPals is very similar to CorgiAid in this fashion, however while CorgiAid helps rescue Corgis, CorgiPals helps pets. These fundraisers are conducted using ChipIn and PayPal and I personally research every request and verify with the veterinarian that the stories check out to avoid scams.

What is The Baxter Valentine Fund?

The Baxter Valentine Fund was inspired by the very handsome Baxter Valentine, who bravely battled prostate cancer for four months before making his way over the Rainbow Bridge. By tapping into the amazing wealth of love and support of the Corgi Community, we were able to raise $8,000 to pay for Baxter's treatment in full. It is our hope and mission to do this for other Corgis and their families who may be experiencing this devastating diagnosis first-hand. You can read Baxter's full story and tribute HERE.

Eligibility Guidelines

Applicants may apply for aid for Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, or Corgi mixes who need veterinary care beyond routine visits. Applicants must submit to the defined application process as outlined below:

CorgiPals, Inc. conducts fundraising activity ONLY for the benefit of families with Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis or Corgi mixes. Other breeds and/or species will not qualify for aid via CorgiPals, Inc.
Fundraisers will only be conducted upon receiving proof of payment or proof of services/treatment rendered in the form of a receipt or estimate from the servicing veterinarian. Donations will then be disbursed for free directly to the veterinarian if an outstanding balance is present, or directly to the individual as a reimbursement if no outstanding balance is present.
Applicants must provide a copy of their most recent unemployment check or bank statement in order to be considered for aid. For unemployment checks: Pertinent information includes your name and address, and the date. The check amount can be censored. For bank statements: Pertinent information includes your name and address, the date, and current available balance of the account. The account number can be censored.
CorgiPals, Inc. will provide aid to eligible dogs with financial needs up to $5,000 ($8,000 for those with cancer).
CorgiPals, Inc. will NOT provide aid for the following services:
- Routine veterinary services including spays, neuters, tail docking, nail trims, microchipping, routine dental cleanings, routine immunizations, and subsequent booster shots
- Routine boarding for vacation or “day care” purposes
When applying for aid, applicants must submit a photo of the dog in question, and give consent for CorgiPals, Inc. to contact the servicing veterinarian for verification purposes.
Applicants MAY also be required to complete a financial statement form (click for example) to determine financial need. This is only part of our application process in extreme cases.
This application process is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the CorgiPals team.

CorgiPals is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to giving a voice to Corgis in need. All donations are tax deductible.
